STEP 2: Get the "hostid"
In this step, a "hostid" has to be generated to obtain a license. The "hostid" is a unique identifier that binds a license to some computer. Please choose the computer that will act as your license server and execute the following steps.
- Install the package (for help, please refer to the installation guide)
- Open a command shell (or terminal under MacOS X).
- Execute the following command:
C:\> licutils hostid
This will return the hostid of the machine that will be used to generate the license. Proceed to Step 3.
