what is the better choice of stable and cheap rendering manager app ?
I want to set up a small renderfarm for our tiny stuido : )
We want to use renderman compliant rendering engine .
So can some good man tell me what is better choice for the rendering manager app ? we need stable and cheap one.
I have the experience of renderman software , shader writing and programming , because I used renderman when I was in a big company .
But I think for our small studio , we have to spend our money carefully .
So please give me some details of comparison . Thanks a lot .

Re: what is the better choice of stable and cheap rendering manager app ?
We have a FAQ article that discuss a bit this topic here.
I have tried Dr Queue on Linux for a render farm made of 30 hosts; it was rather easy to setup and worked well. I feel Sun GridEngine has more sophisticated load balancing schemes but it is more complicated to setup. Both are free to download and use, so I suggest you give them a try. If you are not happy with any of them, I have heard good comments from people using Rush.
