Volume rendering - smoke etc.
Hi,
I was wondering if there is a plan for fluid rendering conversion, so maya fluids could be rendered with 3Delight.
Also is it possible to render particles with volume shader? Any tips or workflow how to do this? Also could you pass world position to the shader, and if particle samplerinfo connections work with 3Delight.
Lot's of questions, but main issue is how to render smoke type of stuff with 3Delight.
I would really appreciate any pointers!

Hello,
We are finishing the Maya Fur support this week and we will start implementing the fluid stuff afterwards. So coming very soon.
Thanks,

Re: Volume rendering - smoke etc.
Great.
Soon is in next few weeks or few month?
I've downloaded the tool but it's for maya 6.5, which is a little problem.
There is a liquid mel script, so it might work without MTOR.
Can you tell more what kind of results you achived, or what it can do?
Any pictures?
Thanks a lot guys!

Re: Volume rendering - smoke etc.
Thanks to the forum I managed to render volume shader!
Also made my first animation with particles and 3Delight. But found that volume shader is sort of too slow for what I need, but I managed to get some rendering with sort of smokey look...
It would be great if we could put some images and movies with examples in here!
I'd love to show this animation and ask how can I improve it...
Is wiki openning soon? Can't wait!
Thanks
