Beginners Guide to 3Delight
Hello,
I want to learn and use 3Delight to render my student film. Is there anyone that can point me in the direction to a "How To" on 3Delight besides the documentation? I'll be using 3Delight with Houdini and Maya.
Thanks,
n :)

Re: Beginners Guide to 3Delight
Beside this list of publications about renderman (that Mauritius pointed out), you can have a look at www.rendermanacademy.com, and the examples folder of the 3Delight installation folder.
Honestly, I think that the fist thing for a beginner is to read the 3Delight for Maya documentation. You will be able to work with Maya and render your images. Then, if you want to do specific things like use ambient occlusion, SSS or global illumination, you will need to write your own shaders. Then the 3Delight documentation will be useful (as well as the books about renderman).

That depends what you want to learn. If you want to learn RenderMan, there's a ton of stuff there in the Pubs section and a lot of it is beginner-level material.
