Hello, anyone know why ICE strands rendering with MentalRay looks good, and with 3Delight looks wrong.
I downloaded and used last version 3DelightForSoftimage2011-3.1.0-free.xsiaddon

anfaik render-time extrusions aren't supported, I think this is mentioned somewhere. You could try blob shape when you're already with 3delight, this will render so much faster. Or just some of ICE extrusion operators.

Unfortunall y any particle shapes not working correct with 3delight, vector is broken

As Amm said, extrusions are simply not supported. If these are not extrusions, please send us a scene to check.

I do next steps:
new primitive>create basic emission>create strands in ICE tree (and get strand shape as cone)

Use Segment for the strand shape, and note that the size will need to be greatly reduced if you have motion blur enabled.

The Segments are not volume shape , its looks as grass.( It not that i want
