Because maya does not lightlink to curves, You need to enclose curves in a set, and point to that set in light's attribute node.
Thanks, it worked. But the curves don't seem to be selfshadowing. Is this because of the material? What is good 3Delight shader for curves?
Thanks

There are many, depending on your needs. Here are several links:
http://graphics.stanford.edu/lab/soft/p … te.19.html
http://www.185vfx.com/resources/coursenotes.html
more advanced:
http://code.google.com/p/cortex-vfx/sou … arschner.h
http://ortholab.codeplex.com/SourceCont … rschner.sl
and ofcourse, default shave shader found in 3delight dir.

Re: Rendering curves in 3Delight for maya
I did more tests, and while I get the shadow from the curves on other objects, I'm still not getting it on the curves.
Any idea?
I will check the list of links you gave me, thank you very much!
Thanks
