Massive Render Crash
I'll probably post this in the Massive forum also, but I'm having issues with 3delight rendering an animation.
After 3 frames (there are three passes also) I get the following message:
massive 2.6.16 initialised

It looks like the renderer is running out of memory - is there anything I can do about this? Is it a Massive issue?
Thanks!

Re: Massive Render Crash
How much memory does it use before you get that message? Are you using raytracing? Are your frames rendered all at once (by a single process) or separately? i.e. does the 3rd (or 4th) frame crash by itself or only after the first few ones?

Re: Massive Render Crash
a) it seems to hang around the 220mb mark (from what I could tell in the System Monitor>Processes window)
b)Yes I am
c)it renders one pass at a time (loads and renders each rib sequentially)
d)the crash happens after about 3 frames (x3 passes) so I start it again from the frame it crashed on - then it will do another 3 then crash...

Re: Massive Render Crash
Something was fixed just yesterday for massive with raytracing so I'll try building a more recent lib and get back to you by email.
